The Role as a Foundry Operative / Caster, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of continuous horizontal casting lines within the foundry. Working as part of a skilled team, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality copper alloy products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Making up heats in line with various copper alloy specifications.
Operating furnaces, including melting, skimming, and testing molten metal.
Calculating alloy additions using basic mathematical calculations.
Pecking, cleaning, and maintaining furnaces and casting areas.
Inspecting cast strip and monitoring product quality.
Unloading cast coils and booking products into the system.
Completing casting reports, production records, and FLT documentation.
Reporting operational issues to Team Leaders and Foundry Supervisors.
Adhering to all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.

Foundry operations.
Casting or metal processing.
Heavy manufacturing.
Production or industrial environments.
Furnace operation or materials handling.
