What you'll be doing;
Manage wood delivery reception at weighbridge and guide vehicles to receiving station
Enforce site traffic safety plan and all Health & Safety policies
Process and maintain required documentation for deliveries
Operate walking floor system for wood unloading
Handle telescopic equipment for skip management
Operate mechanical shovel/Bob cat for cleanup operations
Support chemical deliveries and ash loading operations
Perform general maintenance and housekeeping duties including additional tasks as assigned
To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required within the boiler plant and all ancillary equipment.
What we're looking for;
A trained and experienced Vehicle Banksman, with a strong focus on safe working practices.
Some experience in chemical deliveries to bulk storage tanks (or a willingness to be trained).
Confidence completing routine mobile plant checks and basic maintenance tasks.
A logical, practical approach to day-to-day tasks and problem solving.
A proactive attitude to learning, with a willingness to develop new skills.
Evidence of applying training and on-the-job learning to improve performance.
Willingness to maintain and look after the machinery and equipment you're responsible for.
A flexible team player who is happy to take on additional responsibilities as you become suitably trained and qualified
