How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

    Location: Wimbledon, South West London

    Salary: £49,500 + Overtime + Bonus 

    Shift: Monday-Friday (Days)

    Job Role of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Wimbledon. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern production facility, supporting a wide range of manufacturing equipment while benefiting from ongoing training and career development.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs across a variety of production machinery. You will play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

    Sector: Factory Maintenance

    Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

    Multi-skilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience

    Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled)

    Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production, FMCG, packaging or industrial environment

    Requirements for the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

    Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical and mechanical systems

    Experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance

    Knowledge of motors, conveyors, pumps, pneumatics and automated production equipment

    Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team

    A proactive approach to improving equipment reliability and performance

    Desirable Requirements

    Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a UK manufacturing environment

    PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous
