How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Operative Birkenhead, CH41 £12.71 per hour | Weekly Pay | Immediate Starts Available Morning or Afternoon Shifts Available Free Onsite Parking | Modern Working Environment

    Meridian Business Support is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in the Birkenhead area. We are looking for reliable and hard-working Production Operatives to join a busy team, supporting day-to-day manufacturing and packing activities.

    This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous factory, manufacturing, assembly or production line experience who are looking for ongoing temporary work with immediate starts available.

    As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for:

    Assembling products and components to required quality standards
    Feeding raw materials into the manufacturing process
    Carrying out product inspections and identifying defects
    Testing finished goods and reporting faults where required
    Packing, labelling and preparing products for dispatch
    Supporting basic machine cleaning and housekeeping duties
    Following site health and safety procedures at all times
    The successful Production Operative will work as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, safety and attention to detail are essential.

    We would like to hear from candidates who have:

    Previous experience within manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse or factory environments
    Knowledge of working on production lines or within industrial settings
    The ability to stand for long periods and carry out repetitive manual tasks
    Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
    A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamExperience as a Factory Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Assembly Operative, Machine Operative or Production Worker would be advantageous.

    Hours & Shifts

    Morning Shift

    Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
    Friday: 8:00am to 12:30pm
    38.5 hours per week
    Afternoon Shift

    Monday to Thursday: 5:00pm to 10:00pm
    20 hours per week
