How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We work closely with local schools to provide high-quality teaching professionals who can quickly become a valued part of the school community.

This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience across different educational settings while maintaining the flexibility that supply teaching offers.

    The role

As a general cover primary teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across a range of year groups, ensuring pupils continue to receive an engaging and effective education in the absence of their class teacher.

You will be expected to create a positive learning environment, maintain high expectations and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of all learners.

Opportunities are available across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

    Duties and responsibilities

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Planning and delivering lessons in line with the National Curriculum where required.

    * Delivering pre-prepared lessons and adapting teaching to meet the needs of the class.

    * Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.

    * Assessing pupils' progress and providing feedback where appropriate.

    * Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

    * Managing behaviour in accordance with each school's policies and expectations.

    * Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, school leaders and other members of staff.

    * Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

    * Completing any necessary school documentation.

    * Following safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.

    Person specification

    Applicants must have:

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

    * Previous experience teaching within a primary school.

    * A sound understanding of the National Curriculum and effective classroom practice.

    * The ability to deliver engaging lessons across a range of primary age groups.

    * Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

    * Excellent communication and organisational skills.

    * The ability to establish positive working relationships quickly.

    * A flexible and professional approach to working in different school settings.

    * Availability for full-time work and long-term placements where required.

    * Recent professional references covering teaching experience.

    * An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

    * A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures.

When you join our supply team, you will benefit from:

    * Competitive rates of pay.

    * Opportunities to work across a wide range of primary schools.

    * Flexible assignments to suit your availability.

    * A dedicated consultant who will provide ongoing support throughout your placements.

    * A friendly and experienced team committed to finding opportunities that match your skills and career goals.

    * The opportunity to make a positive contribution to pupils' learning in a variety of educational settings.
