How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

While the work requires flexibility, this is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering greater consistency than casual daily supply work.
    Your working day could include
    • Providing classroom cover and pupil support across different year groups
    • Helping pupils remain focused and engaged during lessons
    • Supporting individual children and small groups
    • Reinforcing learning in phonics, reading, writing and mathematics
    • Assisting pupils with special educational needs or additional learning requirements
    • Following lesson plans and guidance provided by teaching staff
    • Preparing resources and supporting classroom organisation
    • Promoting positive behaviour and respectful relationships
    • Supervising pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes and transitions
    Requirements:
    • Experience working with primary-aged children
    • The confidence to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
    • A flexible and solution-focused attitude
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • The ability to establish positive relationships quickly
    • Good literacy and numeracy skills
    • Calm and consistent behaviour-management skills
    • The ability to work independently while following school guidance
    • A professional and reliable approach
    • A clear commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
    • Experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, social and emotional needs or other special educational needs would be beneficial.
    • A recognised teaching assistant qualification is desirable but relevant school or child-support experience will also be considered.
    Why this role stands out
    • Flexible, Part-time work from September 2026
    • A competitive daily rate of £85–£100
    • The variety of supply support with the stability of long-term placements
    • Experience across multiple primary year groups
    • Opportunities to strengthen your classroom practice and professional CV
    • Exposure to different teaching approaches and intervention strategies
    • Support from school staff and your Transparency Education consultant
    • A strong opportunity for aspiring teachers and education professionals
