How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Marc Daniels is delighted to be working with a well-known and highly successful business that is continuing to grow at a rapid pace. This is an excellent opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a dynamic manufacturing business and play a key role in supporting continued expansion.

This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and can bring strong manufacturing finance expertise, alongside a solid track record of managing both month-end and year-end processes.

    The Role

As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial control environment and support the wider finance function with accurate reporting, robust controls and commercial insight. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, helping to ensure the finance function continues to add value as the organisation grows.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    · Leading the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

    · Taking full ownership of year-end processes and audit preparation.

    · Supporting the manufacturing finance agenda, including product costing, inventory and operational performance.

    · Reviewing and strengthening financial controls and procedures.

    · Preparing management information and analysing key business performance trends.

    · Partnering with operational teams to support decision-making and improve financial understanding.

    · Monitoring balance sheet integrity and ensuring reconciliations are completed to a high standard.

    · Supporting budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc financial analysis.

    · Managing and developing members of the finance team where required.

We are looking for someone with:

    · Professional accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA

    · Strong manufacturing sector experience.

    · Broad exposure to month-end and year-end accounting.

    · Excellent technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.

    · Strong communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.

    · A proactive, adaptable approach and the confidence to work in a growing business
