How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role: As a Junior Business Development Manager, you'll play a vital role in our growth journey. This is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious individuals looking to develop their careers in a supportive and fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include:

    Achieving Sales Targets: Consistently meet and exceed individual sales goals and KPIs.
    Market Monitoring: Stay ahead of industry trends and generate exciting new leads.
    Sales Cycle Management: Manage deals from prospecting to close and maintain ongoing client relationships.
    Building Relationships: Cultivate strong client connections by understanding their commercial objectives and aligning our solutions.

    Upselling and Reselling: Take charge of upselling to existing clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly and to high standards.

    Who We're Looking For:

    Experience in a B2B sales role, ideally in media sales or an exhibition/conference environment. Knowledge of the pharma/biotech sector is a plus!
    Proven track record of achieving sales targets in new business and account growth.
    Strong consultative sales experience with a knack for developing complex, bespoke proposals.
    Ability to learn quickly about new sectors or technologies to build trust with prospects.
    A collaborative spirit focused on delivering successful outcomes for clients.
    Exceptional sales skills, customer focus, and time management abilities.
