What you'll be doing:
* Carry out planned, preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant and equipment (including overhead cranes, rotating equipment, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics).
* Diagnose, report and rectify plant defects quickly and professionally to minimise downtime.
* Propose, develop and support modifications and improvements to plant/apparatus where appropriate.
* Liaise with operations and other departments to plan and coordinate maintenance activity safely and effectively.
* Supervise company and contractor staff as required, ensuring work is completed to the right standard.
* Maintain clean, tidy and safe work areas at all times.
* Follow and support company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures, including completing and supporting audits.
* Undertake other duties within the scope and spirit of the role as directed by management.
What we're looking for:
* Time-served Maintenance Technician with a recognised mechanical-biased apprenticeship and strong knowledge of maintenance techniques.
* Experience in a continuous process industry (electrical power generation experience required for success in the role).
* Competent communicator, able to work with colleagues at all levels both verbally and in writing.
* Willingness to be contacted and attend site outside normal working hours when required.
* Ideally experienced with CMMS systems (HxGN desirable).
* Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Flexible approach and creative problem-solving mindset.
* Skilled in ATEX pump refurbishment and rotating equipment maintenance.
* Pipe fitting experience.
* COMAH experience is desirable.
* Manual handling knowledge required.
