How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Transparency Education is recruiting an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position at a primary school in Lambeth.
This role offers greater responsibility than a standard teaching assistant position and would suit a capable practitioner who can lead learning, provide planned class cover and support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and senior leaders to maintain high-quality learning when leading groups, delivering interventions or covering lessons.
    The role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
    • Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher.
    • Provide short-term whole-class cover where required.
    • Lead targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, phonics or other identified areas.
    • Support individual pupils and small groups with specific learning needs.
    • Adapt resources and explanations to improve pupil understanding.
    • Monitor progress and provide clear feedback to teachers.
    • Support pupils with SEND, EAL or social and emotional needs.
    • Help maintain positive behaviour and consistent classroom routines.
    • Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants and the SENCO.
    • Contribute to the preparation of classroom resources and learning activities.
    • Promote pupil independence, confidence and participation.
    • Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and professional conduct requirements.
    About you
We are looking for someone who:
    • Has substantial experience working as a teaching assistant or HLTA in a primary school.
    • Holds an HLTA qualification or can demonstrate equivalent experience and responsibility.
    • Is confident leading a class using work prepared by the teacher.
    • Has strong literacy and numeracy skills.
    • Understands the primary curriculum across more than one key stage.
    • Can manage classroom behaviour calmly and effectively.
    • Has experience delivering structured interventions.
    • Works well independently and as part of a wider school team.
    • Communicates clearly and professionally.
    • Is organised, reliable and able to respond flexibly to changing priorities.
    • Experience supporting phonics, SEND, speech and language needs or pupils with social and emotional barriers would be beneficial.
    What this opportunity offers
    • Competitive daily pay of £100–£120.
    • A full-time, long-term role with reliable working hours.
    • Greater classroom responsibility and professional development.
    • Opportunities to lead learning across different year groups.
    • Valuable experience for candidates considering teacher training.
    • The chance to become an established member of a supportive school team.
    • Potential for the placement to continue or become permanent.
