How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    As a Maintenance Project Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring BMS systems operate reliably, efficiently, and in line with client expectations.

    You will oversee maintenance and small works projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and to a high standard.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Managing BMS maintenance and small works projects from start to finish

    * Coordinating engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients

    * Reviewing project requirements, drawings, specifications, and technical information

    * Supporting engineers with relevant documentation including wiring diagrams, software, manufacturer data, and technical information

    * Carrying out BMS commissioning, testing, and fault finding where required

    * Completing field wiring checks, control panel checks, functional testing, and controller performance checks

    * Maintaining accurate system records, backups, drawings, and O&M documentation

    * Producing detailed reports and communicating progress with clients

    * Identifying additional works and opportunities for system improvements

    * Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and commercially

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone with a strong background in Building Management Systems, who understands both the technical and operational side of delivering BMS works.

    You will ideally have:

    * Strong experience working with BMS systems

    * Experience with Trend and/or Tridium platforms

    * Experience in BMS maintenance, commissioning, and fault finding

    * Understanding of BMS control strategies, graphics, DDC systems, and field devices

    * Ability to read technical drawings and documentation

    * Strong communication skills with both engineers and clients

    * Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

    Desirable Experience

    * Previous experience managing small works projects

    * Experience producing technical documentation and O&M manuals

    * Experience coordinating engineers or subcontractors

    * Knowledge of commercial building services environments
