How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you an experienced BMS Engineer looking to join a growing business with ambitious plans for the future?

We're looking for a genuine BMS Maintenance Engineer with hands-on experience of Building Management Systems. This isn't a role for someone who's simply worked alongside BMS systems. We're looking for an engineer who understands BMS controls, enjoys fault finding and maintenance, and takes pride in delivering a high level of service to clients.

With ambitious growth plans over the next five years, this is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established business where your technical expertise will be genuinely valued.

    The Role

As a BMS Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting Building Management Systems across a variety of commercial sites, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on BMS systems

    * Diagnosing faults and carrying out reactive repairs

    * Maintaining and supporting Trend and/or Tridium Building Management Systems

    * Maintaining system backups, software and licences

    * Producing detailed service reports with recommendations for remedial works

    * Surveying sites for maintenance contracts and small works

    * Updating asset registers and system documentation

    * Identifying opportunities to improve system performance and energy efficiency

    * Participating in the on-call rota

    About You

We're looking for someone with genuine hands-on BMS engineering experience.

    To be successful, you'll have:

    * Previous experience working as a BMS Engineer, BMS Service Engineer or BMS Maintenance Engineer

    * Strong knowledge of Trend and/or Tridium Building Management Systems

    * Experience fault finding, servicing and maintaining BMS controls

    * A good understanding of HVAC control systems and field devices

    * Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

    * Good organisational skills and attention to detail

    * A full UK Driving Licence

Experience with technologies such as Niagara, BACnet, Modbus, HVAC controls or energy optimisation would be advantageous but isn't essential.

    Why Join?

    * £35,000 to £55,000 per annum

    * Join a business with ambitious growth plans over the next five years

    * Work on a variety of commercial sites and Building Management Systems

    * Be part of a supportive and experienced engineering team

    * Genuine long-term career progression opportunities

If you're an experienced BMS Engineer looking for your next challenge and want to join a company investing in its future, we'd love to hear from you.
