The role is Monday – Thursday Nights (5pm – 5am). Overtime is offered.
Role Overview:
* This is a fast paced busy production environment. They require someone with the ability to diagnose and fix electrical and mechanical faults. As you will be working in a small engineering team where your contribution will have a substantial effect on plant performance.
Main duties:
* Ability to proactively work by yourself as you will be the only Engineer on site on this shift pattern
* Carry out repairs and maintenance to help reduce downtime and improve plant reliability
* Diagnose faults quickly and effectively
* Help with reliability and improvement projects
* Communicate effectively with Production and Engineering leadership regarding downtime and corrective actions
* All maintenance activity, downtime will be recorded within the CMMS system
* Work should be completed safely to a high standard
The person:
* Looking for someone with a positive attitude who is proactive.
* Solid Electrical and Mechanical fault finding skills
* Ideally should have previous experience of working within Food Manufacturing or FMCG environments
* Be a natural problem solver who has a mind for getting to the root cause of issues.
* Must be either apprenticeship qualified or hold an engineering based NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
* Ideally have some form of Electrical qualification.
