Your responsibilities as Accounts Assistant

Process supplier invoices, matching them against purchase orders and goods received notes
Resolve invoice queries, supplier discrepancies and maintain accurate supplier records
Support month-end activities including accruals, reconciliations and reporting
Complete GRNI reconciliations and investigate outstanding balances
Assist with weekly payment runs, supplier statement reconciliations and aged creditor management
Maintain accurate financial records, strong audit trails and support year-end audit requirements

What we’re looking for in a Accounts Assistant

Previous experience within Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or a broader finance position
Strong knowledge of invoice processing, reconciliations and supplier account management
Ability to investigate financial discrepancies and resolve queries efficiently
Good organisational skills with a high level of accuracy when handling financial data
Confident communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
