How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maintenance Engineer (Food Manufacturing)

    Location: Bellshill (ML4)

    Salary: £44,600 per annum

    Hours: Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-8:30pm

    Contract: Permanent

    A leading food manufacturing business in Bellshill is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join its on-site engineering team. This is a great opportunity to work in a modern, fast-paced FMCG environment where reliability, quality and continuous improvement are key.

    The role:

    You'll support production by completing planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and site services, minimising downtime and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.

    Key responsibilities:

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the schedule
    Respond quickly to breakdowns and production issues
    Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
    Complete maintenance documentation and keep accurate records
    Monitor and manage spares/stock levels for critical parts
    Support continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and efficiency
    Liaise with production teams and management on engineering activity
    Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety requirementsEssential experience/skills:

    Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in FMCG/food manufacturing (or similar)
    Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance capability
    Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
    Understanding of PPM systems and proactive maintenance
    Strong problem-solving approach
    Full UK driving licence and access to own transportWhat's on offer:
