How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Engineer to support the successful delivery of civil engineering projects across the region. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring work is carried out safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards on site.

    Key Responsibilities

    Technical & Site Management

    *

    Set out, level, and survey the site using modern instruments (GPS, total station, etc.)

    *

    Interpret technical drawings and ensure work aligns with project specifications.

    *

    Assist in planning, sequencing, and coordinating daily site activities.

    *

    Monitor site progress and quality, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.

    *

    Support the Site Manager andSite Agent with day-to-day operations.

    Quality Assurance & Documentation

    *

    Maintain accurate site records and inspection reports.

    *

    Ensure work complies with design, quality standards, and contract requirements.

    Health, Safety & Environment

    *

    Promote and uphold a strong health and safety culture on site.

    *

    Ensure all activities comply with H&S regulations, RAMS, and company policies.

    *

    Report incidents, near-misses, and potential hazards.

    Stakeholder Communication

    *

    Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and the wider project team.

    *

    Communicate technical information clearly to site teams.

    *

    Attend progress meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.

    Skills & Qualifications

    Essential:

    *

    Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

    *

    Experience working on civil engineering or construction projects.

    *

    Strong understanding of site engineering techniques and surveying equipment.

    *

    Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

    *

    Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

    *

    Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality.

    Desirable:

    *

    CSCS card.

    *

    Full UK driving licence
