How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Cloud Engineering Manager

    £79,005–£88,149 per annum

    Hybrid Working | Permanent | London

    We're recruiting for an experienced Cloud Engineering Manager to lead a team of Cloud Engineers responsible for delivering and supporting a modern Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical leadership with hands-on cloud engineering, helping to shape cloud strategy while remaining close to engineering delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead and mentor a team of Cloud Engineers, promoting engineering best practice and continuous improvement.

    * Provide technical leadership across the Azure cloud platform and infrastructure.

    * Design, build and support secure, scalable and resilient cloud solutions.

    * Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and ideally Bicep.

    * Work closely with Architecture, Security and Digital teams to deliver cloud transformation initiatives.

    * Champion cloud governance, security, cost optimisation and operational excellence.

    * Review technical designs and support engineers through mentoring and technical guidance.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    * Strong Microsoft Azure platform engineering experience.

    * Experience leading or mentoring technical engineering teams.

    * Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, with Bicep highly desirable.

    * Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience.

    * Azure networking, identity and security (Entra ID).

    * Cloud governance, automation and operational best practice.

    * Experience delivering Azure cloud migration and transformation projects.

    * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

    Desirable

    * Azure Landing Zones.

    * Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).

    * FinOps.

    * Zero Trust.

    * AWS or GCP exposure.
