How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

    Location: King's Cross, London
    Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 or 08:00 – 17:00
    Salary: Up to £50,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)

    About the Role A leading Facilities Management provider is looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team, covering a prestigious commercial portfolio based in King's Cross.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company that offers a stable Monday-to-Friday role, exposure to high-end commercial buildings, and genuine opportunities for career progression.

    Key Responsibilities
    Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a commercial portfolio.
    Maintain mechanical building services, ensuring plant operates safely and efficiently.
    Complete PPM schedules, logbooks, and compliance documentation.
    Service and maintain a range of mechanical and building services equipment, including:
    Air Handling Units (AHUs)
    Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
    Pumps and motors
    Heating and cooling systems
    Plant room equipment
    Plumbing systems
    General building services
    Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults.
    Liaise professionally with clients and occupants.
    Ensure all work is completed in line with current Health & Safety regulations and company procedures. Requirements
    Level 3 qualification is essential in one of the following:
    Mechanical Engineering
    Plumbing
    HVAC
    Building Services Engineering
    Previous experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
    Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience on mechanical building services.
    Good communication skills with a professional, client-facing approach.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team. What's on Offer?
