How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Junior RF Engineer Job – Bristol

    Are you looking for a Junior RF Engineer job that will kick start your career in cutting edge RF and microwave engineering? This Junior RF Engineer job in Bristol offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on innovative defence, communications and commercial technology projects while receiving structured mentoring and technical development.

    Based in Bristol, the successful Junior RF Engineer will support the design, simulation, testing and development of Solid State Power Amplifiers operating from 20 MHz to 20 GHz. This job provides hands on experience with industry leading RF design tools, laboratory equipment and experienced engineering professionals, making it an excellent opportunity to build a successful career in RF engineering.

    Junior RF Engineer Job Responsibilities

    * Support the design and development of RF and microwave circuits and Solid State Power Amplifiers.

    * Assist with RF simulations using Microwave Office (AWR) or similar software.

    * Carry out circuit simulations using LT Spice where required.

    * Support PCB schematic capture and RF layout using Altium Designer.

    * Assist with laboratory testing using Vector Network Analysers, spectrum analysers, signal generators and power meters.

    * Analyse test results and compare measured performance with simulation data.

    Skills Required

    * Degree in Electronic Engineering, RF & Microwave Engineering, Wireless Communications or a related discipline.

    * Good understanding of analogue and RF electronic principles.

    * RF, microwave, antenna or wireless communications project experience gained through university, internships or placements.

    * Knowledge of RF simulation tools such as Microwave Office (AWR), ADS or CST would be beneficial.
