How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    An excellent opportunity for an experienced PCV Technician to join a well-established company

    Job Type: Full-Time 45 hours with overtime available

    Salary: £42,120.00 - £51,480.00 per year

    Location: Newmains, Wishaw

    Join the company as a PCV Driver/School Bus Driver in Newmains, Wishaw. In this vital role, you will ensure safe and reliable transportation for their passengers while embodying commitment to quality service and community engagement.

    Requirements

    * A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e. City & Guilds Level 1&2) (Light vehicle skilled mechanics will be considered for alternative positions)

    * Ability to multi-skill within an Engineering environment.

    * A PCV licence or the willingness to gain a PCV licence is desirable but not essential.

    * Experience of working with buses and coaches would be advantageous, however, HGV and light-vehicle mechanics should also apply.

    Responsibilities

    * Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing and parts replacement

    * Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.

    * Carry out routine vehicle servicing and examinations to DVSA standards.

    * Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns.

    * Have the ability, to work at the highest Health & Safety standards.
