How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Business Analyst
    Outside IR35
    Contract until 18th Dec. 2026
    Crewe - Hybrid - 2-days per week

We are recruiting for a Business Analyst to support complex, high-impact IT change initiatives within a fast-paced automotive and manufacturing environment. This contract role will focus on understanding business needs, shaping clear requirements, supporting solution design, and ensuring change activity delivers measurable value and practical outcomes.

As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders across IT, operational teams, suppliers and senior leadership, helping to turn business challenges into structured insights, clear requirements and actionable solutions. This is a role for someone confident, proactive and comfortable asking the right questions, challenging assumptions and bringing clarity to complex change.

    Key responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end business analysis activity across complex IT change initiatives, from discovery through to delivery and benefits realisation.
Elicit, analyse, document and manage high-quality requirements, ensuring they are clearly linked to business outcomes and value.
Translate business problems into structured insights, process models, user stories, acceptance criteria and practical recommendations.
Support business case development, including benefits definition, cost/benefit analysis and impact assessment.
Work with stakeholders at all levels, including senior stakeholders, to clarify priorities, challenge constructively and drive alignment.
Validate solution designs to ensure they meet business needs, expected outcomes and operational requirements.
Define and assure non-functional requirements, including availability, performance, security, resilience, scalability, supportability and operational readiness.
Apply systems thinking to understand upstream and downstream impacts across processes, applications, data, suppliers, operational teams and business outcomes.
Work with third-party suppliers, delivery partners and systems integrators to ensure requirements are understood and outputs are validated.
Produce clear, consistent and high-quality BA artefacts with strong traceability, governance and delivery confidence.
    Key skills and experience required:

Strong experience delivering business analysis within complex IT change environments.
Proven requirements engineering, process modelling, data analysis and solution evaluation skills.
Experience working across both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
Confident creating user stories and acceptance criteria, including Given / When / Then acceptance criteria in GHERKIN format.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
Ability to manage ambiguity, challenge appropriately and bring structure to complex or conflicting requirements.
Experience contributing to business cases, benefits definition, impact assessments and value-led delivery.
Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills across multiple workstreams.
Experience working with cloud, infrastructure, integration or enterprise systems would be highly beneficial.
Exposure to digital transformation, multi-system change, legacy modernisation or process digitisation would be advantageous.
Experience within manufacturing, automotive or another complex operational environment would be beneficial.
Microsoft and SAP-based systems experience would be preferred.
A recognised Business Analysis qualification from BCS or IIBA above entry or foundation level would be highly desirable.
If you are an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in complex IT change, stakeholder engagement and value-led delivery, this contract opportunity offers the chance to contribute to high-impact transformation activity within a complex operational environment.

Please note, this role is deemed outside of IR35 - you will be operating as a Limited company Contractor
