How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant

    Location: Sheffield
    Job Type: Flexible Supply (Full-time and Part-time Opportunities Available)

    Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded Trust of schools across Sheffield and are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supply team.

    This exciting opportunity offers flexible work across a range of settings, supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and moderate learning difficulties.

    The Role

    As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

    Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
    Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
    Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development.
    Help create a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment.
    Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of pupils across different school settings.
    Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and wider support staff to ensure pupils achieve their full potential.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN in an educational, care or support setting.
    A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    The ability to build positive relationships quickly with pupils and staff.
    A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
