How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Associate – Real Estate Finance (Bridging Finance) | Manchester | £70,000 – £100,000

Are you a senior real estate finance solicitor with a strong grounding in bridging finance?

Are you looking to take on a highly visible role within a thriving Manchester‑based practice?

If you are seeking autonomy, high‑quality instructions and genuine backing to grow your profile and client base, this role offers the platform to do exactly that.

    The Firm

Our client is a well‑established and respected Manchester law firm with a strong reputation in real estate finance. The practice is known for its close relationships with lenders, brokers and property professionals and for delivering commercially focused advice in a fast‑paced, transaction‑led environment.

    About the Role

The firm is looking to appoint a Senior Associate to play a key role within its real estate finance practice, with a clear emphasis on bridging finance.

The work is predominantly bridging lending, acting for lenders and borrowers on secured lending matters, with a smaller element of commercial property finance, including buy‑to‑let. This is a senior, outward‑facing position with a clear expectation of involvement in business development.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Advising lenders and borrowers on bridging finance transactions

    * Drafting, negotiating and completing facility agreements and security documents

    * Managing transactions from instruction through to completion with minimal supervision

    * Developing and maintaining strong relationships with lenders, brokers and introducers

    * Supporting and mentoring junior solicitors where appropriate

    * Actively contributing to business development, marketing activity and the growth of the practice

    Skills & Experience

    * Qualified solicitor in England & Wales

    * Operating at Senior Associate level within a law firm

    * Strong experience in real estate finance, with particular expertise in bridging finance

    * Confident handling high‑value, fast‑paced secured lending transactions

    * Commercial mindset with a demonstrable interest in business development

    * Existing client following or referrer network highly advantageous

    * Experience billing at, or close to, three times salary

    Package

    * Competitive salary in the region of £70,000 – £100,000, depending on experience and following

    * High‑quality, repeat instructions from established lender clients

    * Genuine opportunity to grow visibility and seniority within a Manchester‑based practice

    * Supportive, entrepreneurial culture offering real autonomy at senior level

    Why Apply

This role provides the chance to establish yourself as a trusted senior real estate finance solicitor within a firm that values relationships, rewards contribution and supports growth. You will enjoy access to quality work, senior‑level responsibility and the opportunity to shape the future direction of a successful bridging finance practice.

For senior associates specialising in bridging finance who want influence, progression and a platform to build, this is a compelling next move
