We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management organisation supporting a large, high-profile public sector estate. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a professional building services environment, helping to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of critical electrical systems across a diverse and complex site.
Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services, ensuring operational continuity and compliance across the estate.
ā” What you'll be doing:
š§ Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical systems and building services equipment
āļø Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs quickly and efficiently to minimise downtime
š” Maintaining lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, control systems, and associated electrical infrastructure
š ļø Supporting small installation projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement works
š Completing compliance documentation and maintenance records accurately
š¤ Working collaboratively with the wider FM engineering team to deliver high standards of service
šØ Responding promptly to electrical breakdowns within a busy operational environment
𦺠Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with statutory regulations and Health & Safety requirements
š·āāļø What we're looking for:
š¹ Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer within Facilities Management, Building Services, or a similar maintenance environment
š¹ Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
š¹ Good understanding of electrical systems and maintenance best practices
š¹ Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
š¹ Strong communication and organisational skills
š¹ Proactive approach with a strong safety-first mindset
ā Desirable:
ā Experience working within public sector environments
ā Experience supporting large or complex estates
ā Knowledge of compliance-driven maintenance environments
