How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Electrical Engineer to join their expanding team.

    The Role

    This is a varied, hands-on position where you'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding of renewable energy and low-carbon heating systems across the South West and Wales.

    Working alongside Project Managers and clients, you'll play an integral role in delivering high-quality installations that support the UK's net-zero ambitions.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Install, commission and maintain renewable energy and energy efficiency systems, including:

    * Solar PV installations

    * EV charging infrastructure

    * LED lighting upgrades

    * Underfloor heating systems and associated controls

    * Conduct site surveys, inspections and technical assessments across multiple UK locations.

    * Carry out fault diagnosis, repairs and planned maintenance to ensure optimum system performance.

    * Ensure all electrical work complies with BS7671 and current industry regulations.

    * Support the integration and delivery of heat decarbonisation projects and low-carbon heating solutions.

    * Work collaboratively with Project Managers, subcontractors and clients to deliver projects safely, on time and to the highest standards.

    * Complete all commissioning documentation, certification and technical reports accurately.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

    * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.

    * City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.

    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).

    * Proven experience installing and maintaining renewable technologies, including Solar PV, EV charging and LED lighting.

    * Experience working with underfloor heating systems or other low-carbon heating technologies.

    * A strong understanding of energy efficiency and heat decarbonisation principles.

    * Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

    * A willingness to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

    * A full UK driving licence.

    * ECS/CSCS card (desirable)
