How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CNC Mill-Turn Programmer Birmingham (Kings Norton), Redditch, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Halesowen £40,000 + Monday - Friday + Progression Are you an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Programmer looking to join a growing aerospace manufacturer where you'll work on high-precision components using advanced multi-axis machining equipment? On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established precision engineering company specialising in aerospace components. Due to continued growth and the retirement of a long-serving employee, they are looking to strengthen their machining team with an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Programmer. Work for a growing aerospace manufacturer supplying precision-engineered components for the aircraft engine aftermarket. With ambitious expansion plans, including a move to a larger facility, this is an exciting time to join a business investing in its future while offering genuine long-term career prospects. The day-to-day of this role involves programming, setting and operating CNC mill-turn machines, interpreting engineering drawings, selecting tooling, optimising machining processes, carrying out quality inspections using precision measuring equipment, and ensuring all components are manufactured to the tight tolerances required within the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC Mill-Turn programming experience, be confident using Fanuc controls, have excellent knowledge of multi-axis machining, and be capable of working independently to produce high-quality precision components. The role: CNC Mill-Turn Programmer Programming, setting and operating CNC mill-turn machines Manufacturing high-precision aerospace components Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm Site-based The person: CNC Mill-Turn programming and operating experience Experience with Fanuc controls Able to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances Experience using precision measuring equipment Based in or near Birmingham / Kings Norton
