How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new role
    As Responsive Repairs Manager, you will be responsible for leading the operational delivery of a high-performing responsive repairs service, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.You will manage a team of supervisors, operatives and contractors, driving service performance while ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained.
    Key responsibilities include

    Managing the end-to-end delivery of responsive repairs.
    Leading and developing repairs teams to achieve operational and customer service targets.
    Monitoring performance against KPIs, service standards and budgets.
    Managing contractor performance and ensuring value for money.
    Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
    Working closely with residents and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
    Identifying opportunities for service improvements and implementing best practice.
    Producing performance reports and using data to drive operational decision-making.
    Supporting the delivery of a customer-first culture across the service.
    What you'll need to succeed
    To be successful in this role, you'll be an experienced repairs professional with a proven track record of managing responsive maintenance services within social housing, property services or a related sector.
    You will also have:

    Previous experience managing responsive repairs operations.
    Strong leadership and people management skills.
    Experience managing direct labour teams and/or subcontractors.
    Sound knowledge of building maintenance and repair processes.
    Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
    Experience managing budgets and driving value for money.
    Excellent stakeholder management and customer service skills.
    The ability to analyse performance data and implement improvements.
    Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
    A full UK driving licence.
