How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Learning Support Assistant
    Location: Secondary School, Wembley, Brent (HA9)
    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
    Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
    Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential? We are seeking a caring, dedicated and proactive SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our well-established Special Educational Needs (SEN) team in a highly organised and supportive secondary school based in Wembley.
    About the Role As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of additional needs, including:

    Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
    Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
    Down Syndrome
    Speech, Language and Communication Needs
    Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
    Moderate Learning DifficultiesEach morning, the SEN team meets for a structured briefing and debrief session to discuss student progress, daily objectives and support strategies. You will be assigned a specific student or students to support each day, ensuring clear direction and consistency in the support provided.
    Key Responsibilities
    Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
    Assist students in accessing the curriculum and engaging positively in lessons.
    Implement strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
    Support students with organisation, emotional regulation and social interaction.
    Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals.
    Monitor and record student progress and wellbeing.
    Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
    Support students during break times, transitions and school activities where required.What We Are Looking For
    Experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in schools, care settings or youth work.
    Understanding of Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome and other additional needs.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    A patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
    Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
    A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
