How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your New Role
    As a Solicitor within the Court of Protection team, you will work closely with experienced Partners, Deputies and senior lawyers while gradually developing responsibility for your own caseload.Key responsibilities will include:

    Assisting with the management of Property and Financial Affairs Deputyship matters.
    Managing your own caseload under appropriate supervision.
    Preparing Court of Protection applications and annual Deputy Reports.
    Supporting the day-to-day management of clients' financial affairs, including budgeting, payments and property transactions.
    Assisting with the administration of Personal Injury Trusts.
    Building strong relationships with clients, families, case managers, healthcare professionals and other professional contacts.
    Working closely with paralegals and internal and external legal teams.
    Attending client meetings and visits where appropriate.
    Developing expertise in areas such as statutory wills, care funding and benefits.
    Supporting business development and client relationship initiatives.What You'll Need to Succeed
    To be considered for this Court of Protection Solicitor opportunity, you will ideally have:

    Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales.
    Between 0-3 years' PQE.
    A genuine interest in Court of Protection Property and Financial Affairs work.
    Excellent communication and client care skills.
    The ability to build trusted relationships with vulnerable clients and professional contacts.
    Strong organisational, drafting and analytical abilities.
