How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals, you will provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact while contributing to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Support teachers in creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

    * Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of SEND, including learning, behavioural, social, emotional, and physical needs.

    * Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs.

    * Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence.

    * Assist with classroom management and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere.

    * Support pupils with personal care needs where required, including hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility.

    * Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, carers, and external professionals to support pupil progress.

    * Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times.

    * Supervise and support learning activities when required.

    Qualifications and Experience

    * Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.

    * Experience supporting individuals with SEND, either in educational, care, or community settings, would be advantageous.

    * A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.

    * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    * Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude.

    * A genuine passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their potential.

    * Knowledge of SEND strategies, interventions, or assistive technologies is beneficial but not required.

    What We Offer

    * Opportunities to work across a variety of primary and secondary school settings.

    * Ongoing support and professional development opportunities.

    * A rewarding role where you can positively impact the lives of children and young people every day.
