How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Divisional Quality Manager

    Midlands & South East

Red Sky Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor for an experienced Divisional Quality Manager to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects across the Midlands and Southeast.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure schemes. Working closely with operational and senior leadership teams, you'll be responsible for driving quality standards, ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across multiple live projects.

This is a senior position offering the opportunity to influence quality performance across an expanding infrastructure division while working with experienced project teams on nationally significant projects.

    The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director and working alongside the Group Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the delivery and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) across multiple infrastructure projects.

Conducting regular site visits, quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company procedures and ISO standards.

Leading Quality Planning Meetings at project commencement.

Managing divisional audit programmes and supporting external certification audits.

Producing monthly quality performance reports for senior leadership.

Facilitating post-project reviews and maintaining lessons learnt registers.

Investigating non-conformances, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.

Providing quality advice and support to project teams across multiple sites.

Working closely with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality expectations are achieved.

Supporting supplier quality through audits, evaluations and performance monitoring.

Delivering quality training and promoting best practice across the business.

Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the division.

    About You

    The successful candidate will have:

A strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure construction.

At least five years' experience within a Quality Management role in the construction industry.

Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Experience carrying out internal quality audits and site inspections.

Strong understanding of quality assurance, compliance and continuous improvement processes.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

The ability to influence and support operational teams across multiple projects.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the Midlands and Southeast, with weekly visits to the Harrow head office.

    Desirable Qualifications

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Practitioner grade membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).

    Recognised Quality Management qualification.

Internal Auditor qualification to ISO 9001.

    IRCA Registered Auditor (desirable).

Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

If you're an experienced Quality professional looking to make a significant impact across a growing infrastructure business, we'd love to hear from you.
