How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Administration and Welfare Lead - Ealing

    SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be working in partnership with a large, welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Ealing to recruit an experienced Administration and Welfare Lead for a September start.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving school where no two days are the same. The role combines front-of-house administration with pupil welfare and SEND support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with children, families and staff while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.

    Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and SENCO, this varied position offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the wellbeing and educational experience of pupils across the school.

    The successful candidate will spend two days each week managing the school reception and administration function, with the remaining three days dedicated to pupil welfare and SEND support, working alongside the SENCO to ensure children receive the care and support they need to thrive.

    This is a term-time only position, offering an excellent work-life balance within a supportive and friendly school community.

    About the Role

    This is a varied role that combines administration, pastoral care and SEND support.

    You will be the welcoming face of the school, providing an excellent first impression to visitors, parents and pupils while also playing a key role in supporting children's welfare and additional needs.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Managing the school reception and acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies.
    Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
    Supporting the day-to-day administration of the school office.
    Maintaining accurate pupil records and confidential information.
    Providing first aid and responding appropriately to pupil medical needs.
    Monitoring pupil wellbeing and supporting children throughout the school day.
    Working closely with the SENCO to coordinate SEND administration and pupil support.
    Supporting pupils with additional needs and liaising with staff and external professionals where appropriate.
    Maintaining accurate welfare and medical records.
    Supporting attendance procedures and safeguarding processes.
    Building strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
    Ensuring the school office remains organised, efficient and welcoming at all times.About You

    The successful candidate will be organised, compassionate and able to manage a varied workload in a busy school environment.

    You will have:

    Previous experience working within a school office or educational setting.
    Strong administration and organisational skills.
    Experience supporting pupil welfare and wellbeing.
    Experience working with children with additional needs or SEND.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    A calm and professional approach when working with pupils, parents and colleagues.
    The ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
    A positive, proactive and flexible attitude.
    A genuine commitment to safeguarding and supporting children's wellbeing.Qualifications and Experience

    The successful candidate must have:

    A valid First Aid qualification.
    Previous school administration experience.
    Experience supporting children with SEND or additional needs.
    Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience using school management systems is desirable.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    The right to work in the UK.Experience using systems such as Arbor, SIMS or Bromcom would be advantageous but is not essential.
