How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Primary Lunch Supervisor

    Location: Brent, North West London
    Start Date: September 2026
    Salary: £15.00 per hour
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:15am - 1:15pm (10 hours per week)

    SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be working with a large, vibrant and welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Brent to recruit a dedicated Lunch Supervisor for a September start.

    About the Role

    As a Lunch Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of pupils during the lunchtime period.

    Working closely with teaching staff and the wider school team, you will help create a calm, positive and inclusive environment both in the dining hall and on the playground.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Supervising pupils during lunchtime, both indoors and outdoors.
    Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting good manners.
    Supporting children while they eat and helping younger pupils where required.
    Organising and encouraging safe, inclusive playground games and activities.
    Monitoring pupil wellbeing and ensuring all children are safe at all times.
    Responding calmly and professionally to minor incidents and reporting any concerns to senior staff.
    Helping to maintain a clean, organised and welcoming lunchtime environment.
    Supporting the school's behaviour, safeguarding and inclusion policies.About You

    The successful candidate will be:

    Friendly, approachable and enthusiastic.
    Passionate about working with primary-aged children.
    Calm, patient and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
    A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
    Reliable, punctual and organised.
    Able to manage behaviour positively and fairly.
    Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential. Experience gained within schools, nurseries, sports coaching, childcare, holiday clubs, youth work or similar settings would be highly beneficial.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Experience working with children is desirable.
    A good standard of spoken and written English.
    An understanding of safeguarding and child welfare is advantageous.
    An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is beneficial but not essential.
