How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Committee Services Manager
    Location: East London
    Type: Temp ongonig
    Rate: 300 Umbrella per day
    Hours: 36 Hours per week
    Work pattern: Hybrid working

    Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a well-known client based in the East London area, who are looking for a highly skilled Committee Services Manager to join their team.

    Key Responsibilities - Committee Services Manager

    Coordinate and manage the work of the Committee Services Team, ensuring efficient, customer-focused delivery of high-quality committee support and administration.
    Support the client's decision-making and scrutiny committees, panels, boards, and working groups.
    Drive continuous improvement across the Committee Services function.
    Ensure transparency, good governance, and compliance with statutory and constitutional requirements.
    Take lead responsibility for supporting client and Cabinet meetings and ensuring effective support for all other committees and panels.
    Provide advice and guidance to officers on the Scheme of Delegations, decision-making processes, and the client's Constitution.
    Ensure all decisions are made in accordance with legislation and constitutional requirements.
    Oversee support for key partnerships, internal working groups, and other governance meetings as required.
    Support the Monitoring Officer with governance-related responsibilities.
    Review Members' Allowances and maintain the Register of Gifts and Hospitality for Members and Officers.
    Develop and maintain Members' Intranet resources.
    Plan, organise, and strategically manage the delivery of committee services to meet the democratic needs and requirements of the client.
    Build proactive relationships with elected Members to support and develop their roles and promote the principles of good governance.
    Undertake a range of related governance and committee administration duties as required
