How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Specialist SEND School – Uxbridge, Hillingdon

A welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Uxbridge is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 3 SEN Teacher to join its experienced and supportive team.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach a Key Stage 3 class of pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and associated special educational needs. Pupils follow a broad and engaging curriculum that is closely aligned to the National Curriculum, with a strong focus on developing literacy, numeracy, communication, independence and social skills to prepare them for successful progression into Key Stage 4.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will:

Take responsibility for the progress, achievement and wellbeing of all pupils within their Key Stage 3 class.
Lead and coordinate a team of SEND Teaching Assistants to deliver high-quality, consistent classroom support.
Plan and deliver engaging, well-differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with MLD.
Deliver a broad curriculum that promotes academic progress alongside personal, social and emotional development.
Use a range of adaptive teaching strategies, assessment for learning and targeted interventions to enable every pupil to succeed.
Foster pupils' independence, confidence, resilience and positive behaviour for learning.
Work collaboratively with families and multi-disciplinary professionals to support pupils in achieving their EHCP outcomes.
Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel valued and motivated to learn.
Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care at all times.
    The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), or has a strong interest in SEND.
Has either Primary or Secondary teaching experience and is confident adapting learning for pupils working below age-related expectations.
Can deliver engaging, high-quality teaching as part of a collaborative classroom team.
Understands how to use assessment to inform planning and accelerate pupil progress.
Has experience of planning for, or contributing to, Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Maintains high expectations for every pupil and believes all young people can achieve and make meaningful progress.
Demonstrates patience, resilience, flexibility and excellent communication skills.
Is committed to inclusive education and safeguarding children and young people.
    What the School Offers

A welcoming, experienced and highly supportive staff team.
Excellent professional development and career progression opportunities.
The opportunity to make a lasting difference to the educational journey of young people with SEND.
A well-resourced and nurturing learning environment.
A strong culture of collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed SEND teacher who wants to inspire young people with Moderate Learning Difficulties to achieve their full potential, develop independence and enjoy learning within a supportive specialist setting.
