About the Role
As a Fire & Security Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of fire and security systems for commercial clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. You will play a key role in ensuring systems remain fully operational, compliant, and effective in protecting people, property, and businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Service, maintain, and repair fire and security systems, including:Fire alarm systems
CCTV systems
Intruder alarm systems
Access control systems
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs.
Diagnose faults and provide effective repair solutions.
Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Deliver excellent customer service and provide clear technical guidance to clients.
Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Participate in an on-call rota to provide emergency support when required.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire and security systems.
Strong technical knowledge of:
Fire alarms
CCTV
Intruder alarms
Access control systems
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
* FIA, BAFE, or equivalent industry qualifications.
* 5+ years' experience within the fire and security industry.
