How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced electrician looking to move into a varied service engineering role across some of London's most interesting commercial sites?

    Do you hold your 18th Edition and 2391 Testing & Inspection, and have experience with tray, basket or Unistrut work?

    A well established specialist engineering business is looking for an experienced Service Engineer (Electrician) to join their growing team. Working across major commercial and industrial sites, you will be joining a business that specialises in innovative water efficiency systems, with projects involving rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling.

    This is a genuinely varied role where no two days will be the same. You will be carrying out site surveys, installations, commissioning, planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, testing and repairs across predominantly Central London. You will typically attend around two sites per day and work independently once fully trained, with the support of an experienced team around you.

    You don't need previous experience within rainwater harvesting, greywater or plumbing. Full training will be provided over your first three months, covering the specialist systems and products. There are also excellent opportunities to undertake further internal and external training, including the option to develop your plumbing knowledge in the future.

    The role:

    Carry out installation, commissioning, planned and reactive maintenance
    Complete fault finding, testing, repairs and product testing
    Attend approximately two commercial sites per day across London
    Carry out site surveys and read 2D and 3D technical drawings
    Work with tray, basket and Unistrut systems across commercial installationsThe person:

    Experienced electrician from a commercial or construction environment
    18th Edition and C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection are essential
    ECS card holder with experience using tray, basket or Unistrut systems
    Confident fault finding and using a multimeter
