Are you a Precision Driller, Manual Machinist, or Production Engineer with experience in a precision engineering environment, looking to join a stable company offering long-term security, progression, and an excellent work-life balance?
On offer is a permanent position within a well-established precision engineering business supplying high-quality components into industries including aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, nuclear, and general engineering.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their skilled machining team at their Chessington facility. You will play a key role in producing high-precision components, ensuring all drilling operations are completed accurately and to the highest quality standards.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out precision drilling operations on CNC machined components, working from engineering drawings, setting up drilling equipment, and ensuring all finished parts meet strict customer and quality requirements.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:
Carrying out precision drilling, tapping, reaming, and countersinking operations on machined components
Setting up and operating manual and semi-automatic drilling equipment
Working from engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
Using precision measuring equipment to inspect completed components
Maintaining high levels of quality, accuracy, and housekeeping within the workshop
Supporting production by ensuring components are completed to customer deadlines
The Person:
Experience as a Precision Driller, Manual Machinist, Production Engineer, or similar within a precision engineering environment
Experience working within a machine shop or CNC machining environment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components
Experience using precision measuring equipment and working with a variety of engineering materials
