Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is currently seeking an Integration Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is based at the MISC Facility, Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth. This position involves hybrid arrangements, requiring you to be fully on-site. The duration of the contract is 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the UK MOD test and integration facility
Testing new pieces of equipment to ensure functionality
Maintaining the facility to ensure it is operational
Overseeing GFE and servers owned by the MOD
Installing firewalls and modifying networks
Managing cabling requirements
Applying patches and updates
Monitoring server parametrics, including heat output
Recalculating room changes based on parametric data
Monitoring equipment, logging data, and analysing trends and patterns

Job Requirements:

Experience in systems integration
Knowledge of software integration
Ability to maintain and manage a secure facility
Proficiency in installing firewalls and modifying networks
Strong analytical skills for monitoring, logging data, and identifying trends
