How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lecturer in Social Work

Are you a passionate Social Worker looking to inspire and develop the next generation of practitioners?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Social Work to join our Higher Education team and teach on our BSc (Hons) Social Work programme, delivered in partnership with leading universities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered Social Worker to combine professional expertise with teaching, student support and practice-based learning. If you do not currently hold a teaching qualification, support can be provided to gain one.

    The Role

You will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the Social Work degree programme, supporting students throughout their academic and placement journey.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Planning and delivering engaging lectures and workshops.

    * Assessing and providing constructive feedback on student work.

    * Acting as a personal tutor and supporting student development.

    * Undertaking practice placement visits and reviews.

    * Supporting skills days and practice learning activities.

    * Working closely with local authorities, employers and placement providers.

    * Contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance activities.

    * Supporting student recruitment, retention and achievement.

    About You

We are looking for someone who has:

    * Current Social Work England registration.

    * A BA/BSc (Hons) in Social Work.

    * At least three years' post-qualification social work experience.

    * Current or recent practice experience.

    * Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

    * A passion for teaching, learning and developing future social workers.

    Desirable qualifications and experience include:

    * Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).

    * Practice Educator or Practice Supervisor experience.

    * AMHP, BIA or postgraduate qualifications.

    * Experience of teaching, training or supporting learners.

    Why Join Us?

    * Help shape the future social work workforce.

    * Join a supportive and collaborative Higher Education team.

    * Access ongoing professional development opportunities.

    * Benefit from strong partnerships with universities, employers and placement providers.

    * Receive support to gain a teaching qualification where required.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

If you are ready to bring your social work expertise into the classroom and inspire the next generation of practitioners, we would love to hear from you
