How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    TIG Welder

    Syston, Leicestershire
    £16.40 per hour
    Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm

    Engineering @ 365 is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join their production team. Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a skilled welder with experience working on thin gauge stainless steel. MIG welding experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturing business offering a permanent day shift and a supportive working environment.

    The Role

    Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the TIG Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality stainless steel fabrications to engineering drawings while ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and to the required production standards.

    The successful candidate will be experienced in TIG welding thin gauge stainless steel and be confident interpreting technical drawings to manufacture components to specification.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel components

    * Work with material thicknesses ranging from 1.5mm to 2.5mm

    * MIG welding where required (advantageous but not essential)

    * Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings

    * Produce work to a high standard of quality and accuracy

    * Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specification

    * Work efficiently to production schedules and deadlines

    * Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment

    * Report any quality or production issues to the Production Manager

    * Work effectively both independently and as part of the manufacturing team

    * Follow all company health and safety procedures

    Requirements

    * Previous experience as a TIG Welder within a manufacturing or engineering environment

    * Proven experience welding thin gauge stainless steel (1.5mm–2.5mm)

    * Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings

    * MIG welding experience would be advantageous

    * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

    * Good understanding of engineering health and safety practices

    * Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team
