How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

As a Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Recently Qualified Architect, you'll support the design and delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages, contributing to high-quality architectural solutions from initial concept through to construction.

Working within a multidisciplinary development team, you'll gain valuable experience across the full project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, planning applications, technical design and site delivery, on a range of residential and specialist accommodation schemes.

    About the Projects

You'll contribute to a portfolio of award-winning residential care and retirement living developments, including:

    Care homes

    Retirement living communities

    Multi-room residential accommodation

    Mixed-use and specialist residential developments

Many schemes are delivered on a full turnkey basis, providing the opportunity to experience every stage of the development process, from land acquisition and planning through to completion.

    Key Responsibilities

    Design & Project Delivery

Assist in the design and development of projects across all RIBA work stages.

Produce high-quality architectural drawings, presentation material and technical information using Revit and AutoCAD.

Support planning applications, Building Regulations submissions and detailed design packages.

Develop creative design solutions that respond to client briefs, planning policy and technical requirements.

Contribute to design reviews and project meetings with internal teams and external consultants.

    Project Coordination

Work collaboratively with architects, consultants, contractors and the wider development team.

Assist in coordinating project information to ensure designs are accurate, coordinated and compliant.

Attend site visits and design team meetings to monitor progress and help resolve design and construction queries.

Support the successful delivery of projects through all project stages.

    Professional Development

Receive mentoring from experienced Architects and senior team members.

Gain exposure to project management and client liaison responsibilities.

Continue developing your technical knowledge, design skills and professional experience towards becoming a Project Architect.

Contribute ideas that enhance design quality, project delivery and working practices.

    Requirements

    Essential

RIBA Part 2 qualified or recently qualified Architect (ARB registered or working towards registration).

Experience within a UK architectural practice.

    Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning processes and construction methods.

Strong design, communication and presentation skills.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Enthusiastic, proactive and collaborative approach to working within a team.

    Desirable

Experience working on residential or care sector projects.

    Knowledge of BIM workflows.

Experience across multiple RIBA work stages.

Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering thoughtful, buildable architecture.
