How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Steeple Claydon, Buckinghamshire
    Salary: £29,344 - £44,919
    Contract Type: Full-Time / Temp-to-Perm

    Key Responsibilities

    Curriculum Development and Planning

    Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
    Design inclusive lesson plans that address diverse abilities and learning styles.
    Foster a stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and development.
    Classroom Teaching

    Provide high-quality teaching across Key Stage 2.
    Support pupils in developing key skills in literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking.
    Encourage independence, curiosity, and a lifelong passion for learning.
    Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate all pupils.
    Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom atmosphere.
    Assessment and Progress Tracking

    Use both formative and summative assessments to monitor pupil progress effectively.
    Provide clear, constructive feedback to support individual development.
    Keep accurate records of attainment and progress in line with school policies.
    Differentiation and Individualised Support

    Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and higher-attaining pupils.
    Work closely with teaching assistants to deliver targeted interventions as required.
    Ensure every pupil receives appropriate support and challenge to thrive.
    Communication and Collaboration

    Build positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about pupil progress and wellbeing.
    Collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and senior leaders.
    Contribute actively to staff meetings, training sessions, and school events, including parents’ evenings.
    Professional Development

    Keep abreast of developments in primary education and Key Stage 2 best practises.
    Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching expertise and subject knowledge.
    The Ideal Candidate

    A degree in Education or a relevant discipline (a Master’s degree is advantageous).
    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 or equivalent settings.
    Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, including literacy and numeracy.
    Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    A genuine passion for primary education and fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
    Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
