How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Transport Coordinator / Fleet Support
    Location: Horsham (Office Based)
    Salary: £32,400 per annum + Company Van
    About the Role
    Vector Recruitment Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a specialist infrastructure business for a hands-on Transport Coordinator / Fleet Support professional.
    This is a varied role combining transport coordination with practical fleet support. You'll ensure vehicles, equipment and personnel are in the right place at the right time while helping keep the company fleet safe, compliant and operational.
    Key Responsibilities
    Coordinate the daily movement of vehicles, plant, equipment and personnel.
    Schedule transport to meet operational requirements.
    Liaise with drivers, suppliers, hire companies and site teams.
    Maintain transport schedules, fleet records and compliance documentation.
    Monitor MOTs, servicing, inspections and vehicle performance.
    Assist with route planning and resolve transport issues.
    Deliver and collect vehicle parts, equipment and company vehicles.
    Carry out minor vehicle repairs and maintenance, including changing tyres, replacing wing mirrors, bulbs, wiper blades and completing basic vehicle safety checks.
    Report vehicle defects and arrange repairs where required.
    Provide general logistical support to operational teams.Requirements
    Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet coordination or a similar role.
    Practical mechanical skills with the ability to carry out minor vehicle repairs.
    Strong organisational and communication skills.
    Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
    Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
    Experience within construction, utilities or infrastructure is advantageous.
