How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Residential Support Worker

    Locations:

    CH44 - 2-Bed Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) Children's Home
    CH61 - 2-Bed Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) Children's Home
    LL11 - 2-Bed Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) Children's Home

    Salary: £15.33-£15.94 per hour (dependent on Level 3 qualification)
    Sleep-in Payment: £60 per sleep
    Contract: Full Time - 40 hours per week
    Shift Pattern: 2 on, 4 off (10:00am - 10:00pm) with sleep-ins

    About the Role

    We are looking for passionate and dedicated Senior Residential Support Workers to join our therapeutic children's homes supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

    Working within a small 2-bed home allows you to build meaningful relationships with the children in your care, providing consistency, stability and positive role modelling while helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.

    As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will take the lead on shift, supporting the Registered Manager and wider team to deliver high-quality, child-centred care in line with Ofsted regulations and the home's therapeutic approach.

    Key Responsibilities
    Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.
    Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
    Build positive, trusting relationships and promote positive outcomes.
    Complete accurate daily records, reports and risk assessments.
    Administer medication in accordance with company policies.
    Support young people with education, appointments and activities.
    Safeguard children at all times and promote their welfare.
    Mentor and support Residential Support Workers during shifts.
    Work in partnership with families, social workers and other professionals.
    What We're Looking For
    Experience working within children's residential care.
    A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
    Ability to work a 2 on, 4 off rota including sleep-ins.
    Strong communication and leadership skills.
    Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is desirable (higher hourly rate available), although experienced candidates working towards the qualification will also be considered.
    Full UK driving licence preferred.

    Competitive hourly rate of £15.33-£15.94, depending on qualifications.
    £60 per sleep-in.
    Full-time contract with 40 hours per week.
    Consistent 2 on, 4 off shift pattern (10:00am-10:00pm).
