How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you a dynamic Procurement Buyer looking for your next challenge?

We are thrilled to be partnering with a thriving and innovative company in their search for a dedicated Senior Buyer to join their close-knit team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious professional ready to step into a role with significant responsibility and impact. Our client is a respected organisation known for its commitment to excellence and a collaborative work environment. They are seeking an individual who can hit the ground running and evolve with the business.

The Opportunity: You'll be an integral part of a small, agile team, taking ownership of complex accounts and driving key procurement initiatives. This position offers a genuine pathway for development, empowering you to shape supply chains and make a tangible difference.

Senior Buyer - Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Taking responsibility for intricate accounts and strategic procurement activities.

Negotiating effectively with suppliers to secure optimal terms and value.

Developing and managing robust, efficient supply chains.

Managing day-to-day procurement operations with a focus on metrics and performance.

Challenging technical teams and holding suppliers accountable to ensure quality and delivery.

Actively identifying and onboarding new suppliers to enhance capabilities and drive cost savings.

Senior Buyer - Who We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated "all-rounder" with a proactive approach. You should possess:

Proven experience as a Procurement Buyer.

    Strong understanding of ERP systems.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – a true "people person."

A metrics-driven mindset with a focus on results.

An understanding of low-cost sourcing strategies.

    Experience in supply chain management.

The ability to identify and escalate issues effectively.

While not essential, technical expertise in engineering drawings would be a distinct advantage.

This role is perfect for someone with leadership potential who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Senior Buyer - If you are ready to embrace a challenging yet rewarding role and believe you have the skills and drive to excel, we want to hear from you
