How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    About the role

    The Guinness Partnership is looking for a Planned & Building Safety Administrator to provide a comprehensive administration and support service to the Planned and Building Safety Team. This is a full time, 35 hours per week, permanent role based at our Oldham office. We currently offer hybrid working, blending office days with working from home.

    What we are looking for

    We are seeking an individual with strong written and oral communication abilities, supported by confident interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be capable of planning and managing multiple work assignments while maintaining a high level of organisation and meeting agreed timeframes. Proficiency in IT systems, including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. Close attention to detail is required to ensure accurate recording of information for audit purposes.

    You will be able to demonstrate these essential skills:

    Good written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to plan and manage multiple work assignments.
    Highly organised with the ability to work to agreed timeframes.
    IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience using IT systems.
    Attention to detail to enable accurate recording for audit purposes.
    Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
    Desirable skills:

    Experience of raising orders and managing payments e.g. Oracle.
    Previous administration experience of data management systems ideally Swordfish, Keystone and Northgate.
    Understanding and interest of social housing issues and services offered by registered providers and other housing regulatory bodies.
    Experience of managing and inputting data into the Northgate system.
    Essential qualifications:

    Educated to Level 2 (C+ or 9-4 GCSE or equivalent) or higher.
