How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager

    📍 London & Home Counties

    An established contractor operating within the fire protection and compliance sector is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee large-scale projects from mobilisation through to completion.

    The successful candidate will have a strong background managing construction, fire protection, or compliance-focused projects and will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

    Key Requirements

    Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction, fire protection, or related sectors.
    Strong understanding of passive fire protection systems, fire doors, compartmentation, and fire stopping.
    Experience managing projects valued in the millions.
    Commercial awareness and budget management experience.
    Ability to lead site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively.
    Strong reporting, planning, and organisational skills.
    Relevant industry qualifications desirable.
    Full UK Driving Licence.

    Responsibilities

    Take ownership of multiple projects from start to finish.
    Manage site teams, subcontractors, and programme delivery.
    Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
    Monitor budgets, costs, and overall project performance.
    Manage quality assurance and audit processes.
    Produce progress reports and project documentation.
    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and best practice.
