The Role
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering complete engineering projects for industrial control and automation systems. You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, giving you the opportunity to develop both your technical and project management skills.
Typical responsibilities include:
* Managing electrical engineering projects from customer enquiry through to successful project completion.
* Supporting the design, development and implementation of electrical control and automation systems.
* Producing and reviewing electrical schematics, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
* Working with PLC, SCADA, control systems and safety-critical automation solutions.
* Coordinating project activities with engineering, manufacturing and installation teams.
* Liaising with customers throughout project delivery to ensure successful outcomes.
* Supporting factory acceptance testing (FAT), system testing and validation activities.
* Overseeing installation and commissioning activities at customer sites across the UK.
* Completing customer handovers and ensuring projects meet technical and quality standards.
This role offers a combination of office-based engineering work and occasional travel to UK customer sites for installation, commissioning and project support.
The Person
You will ideally have:
* HNC, HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
* Experience delivering electrical engineering or automation projects.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.
* Experience producing or reviewing electrical drawings and technical documentation.
* A proactive approach and a desire to manage projects through their complete lifecycle.
