How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Our partner schools cover EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with many offering excellent mentoring, structured induction programmes and ongoing professional development to help you succeed.

    The Role

    As an Early Career Teacher, you will:

    Teach across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on your preferences and school requirements.

    Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire young learners.

    Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

    Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.

    Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.

    Gain valuable experience through supply work or complete your ECT induction in a long-term placement.

    About You

    To be considered, you will:

    Hold, or be due to achieve, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by Summer 2026.

    Be passionate about making a positive difference in primary education.

    Have strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.

    Be adaptable, enthusiastic and committed to continuous professional development.

    Be dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
